Feckin Boat, Anstruther

On Sunday, Sean and I drove to the Fife fishing village of Anstruther for fish and chips by the sea. It was such a gorgeous evening that all three fish and chip shops had lines stretching out the door, and the seafront was packed with people perched on benches and walls, tucking into fried fruits of the sea. After eating we poked around the harbour and along the coast a bit, looping back onto Shore Street as the golden hour illuminated boats and buildings alike. We bought a couple of ice creams from the Anstruther Fish Bar and, as our ice creams were being scooped into their cones, the young girl behind the counter told us that it had been their busiest day in ten years!
