Your images are wonderful! This is why slow journeys are so wonderful!
Thanks, Patty! Yes, slow travel is ideal for really getting to know a place well. :-)
What’s happened to you?
Hello, Steve. Good to hear from you — and a good reminder that it’s been a long time since I posted. We’re still slow travelling, but have also been busy with work and various side projects. And, of course, the longer the gap the easier it is to postpone posting. I’ve had a draft post hanging around for months now; perhaps I’ll find my way to it sometime soon! Hope all’s well with you these days. :-)
I’m still finding lots of things in nature to photograph close to home. At the opposite end of the spectrum, we spent last February in New Zealand, which I’ll recommend if you ever get the chance to go.
I’ve been to NZ a couple of times to visit family. Just the north island, specifically Auckland and Kawau Island. It’s a fantastic country — you can really feel its isolation in the middle of the Pacific — and I’d love to get to the south island some day.
I spent part of a day on Kawau Island and featured pictures from there in two of my posts:

I managed to spend only 6 days on South Island, but still crammed in a lot. I hope you get there.
And here we are two years later! Hope everything’s going well for you.
